thrilled - it recovred my precious images from an SD card !

I did have to go to website and install new version, though, for it to recognize my SD card inserted into my Macbook Air running 10.9 (the App store version didn’t find it)

After that, it ran for about 3-4 minutes, found ~75 images, which I quickly copied to my desktop and found the images I had lost
