The program simply doesn’t work - none of your volumes wil show up in the “recover from” field. Then you’ll throw this piece of crap in the garbage and wonder why you didn’t believe the reviews on this worthless waste of time and bandwidth.

I should have read the review before installing it. what a waste of time.

First step is to select a drive but none are displayed!

The info page says the older software doesn’t work with new OSX. You can get one that does on their website but it is not free. The only way to test it is to buy. App store should delete this software as misleading.

Installed the app without issues Doesn’t detect any drives or volumes.

Right out of the "box" this app didnt list any of my volumes, which is weird since it is installed on a volume right? DELETE! (Thank goodness it was free.)

I am a long time photographer with over 68,000 images on my Mac. Yesterday I bought a new lens and went out to the lake to test the lens out and spent 3 houes shooting over 500 images. Came home, plugged in my card reader and it went south on me, so I grabed my cable for my camera, pluged that in and found all the images gone! I freaked out and went searching for a recovery program and found this one. It recovered ALL my images and easy to use to boot! Thank you for saving all my hard work. THIS APP IS A MUST HAVE ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

Running 10.6.8. Will not show even my internal MBP hard drive. Have these guys stopped updating their software or does it just not work in 10.6?

No instructions. Assumes we know volume etc. Cant drag and drop the drive either. Dont waste time and be wary if considering pro version.

Thought Id try this to recover a pic from a SD card. When I started the program, it says Step 1 that I should select a drive or volume. And…there it stops. My internal hard drive does not appear. My backup drive does not appear. The SD card does not appear as an option. Worthless. I have no idea how it recover squat if it cant even find any of my drives. I tried the file recover option. Same result. The lost partition recovery option is worse: when I clicked on that, nothing happened. Into the trash it goes.

It didnt work from the beginning. If this does not work from the beginning it wont work at the end. Think twice before buying the other version.

Ill give it 2 stars because it did work sort of and the GUI was OK. It found my SD card but only found one jpg (that I didnt need), and not the dozen I had just deleted and didnt write over. So pretty useless for me.

It does almost nothing. Not even worth the 2 minutes I had it.

For 10.8, you have to go to their website to download the newest version. That version quits as soon as you start trying to recover your data. FAIL. Dont bother...
